The pulse belongs to the region, not to the project. Quarters through the opening, eighths from the bridge, then triplets, sixteenths, macro beats, or whatever grouping the meter is asking for. No automation lane, no rebuilding it by hand.

Simple, compound, and odd meters are all handled, and a region splits itself at the boundary where the meter changes. Groupings like 3+2, 2+3, 3+2+2, and 3+3+2 are counted the way a player counts them.

Record Logic's tempo and meter map while the project plays. Or import it from a Standard MIDI File. Or place the meter changes yourself. Tempo ramps come along either way, and none of the three overwrites anything until you ask.

A short run of click before the destination, so the player hears the tempo that's about to start rather than guessing at it. It works ahead of an entrance, ahead of a tempo change, and ahead of bar 1.

Tone and noise, pitch, waveform, an envelope you drag. Or import a short sample and set its trim, fades, tuning, mono folding, and normalization. It stops short of being a full synthesizer on purpose.

Downbeat, beat, and subdivision each take their own sound and their own level.

Duplicate a sound before you edit it and the factory version is still there when the experiment goes wrong. Presets save. Favorites follow you into the next project.

Mono or stereo, WAVE, AIFF or CAF, at 16-bit, 24-bit or 32-bit float, over whatever bar range you pick. Silence in the arrangement stays silence in the file, so it drops onto the timeline already lined up.
